CEPI WINS MEN'S MATCH PLAY
Arvidas Cepulionis won a tough match on the 17th hole at the Odyssey Country Club, in the CLGK Match Play Final against Charlie Brigden. Congratulations to both Cepi and Charlie on a great season in the match play. Cepi takes home the $230 first prize while Charlie gets $110 for 2nd place. Well done guys!
SEASON FINALE
Our final tournament of the year had 54 players at Silver Lake North. The results can be found at the link on the left.
Afterwards we had our Annual Banquet, with Master of Ceremonies President Ray Rimkus. Ray awarded the "cash" for the women's match play winner Chrissy Norkaitis and the second place finisher Ramune Dagys. Ray also passed out all of traveling trophies for the club champions as follows:
Mens A: Tom Vaitkus
Men's B: Al Dagys
Men's C: Raimundas Cepele
Men's D: Ray Rimkus
Women's A: Aldona Vaitkus
Women's B: Gene Rimkus
Women's C: Jan Cepulionis
Junior's A: Tomas Kleiza
Junior's B: Raimundas Cepele
President Rimkus then awarded the most improved golfers trophies to Raimundas Cepele and Chrissy Norkaitis. Both have made huge strides in their games in 2008. And finally the awards for Golfer of the Year went to Tom Vaitkus and Aldona Vaitkus. Both had tremendous years with the CLGK. They are both 2008 CLGK Club Champions and both are 2008 SALFASS champions. Tom and Aldona were at the top of their games in 2008. Congratulations to all of this years winners!
Linas Cepele then gave us an update on SALFASS 2009 which will be run by the CLGK at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth Indiana over Labor Day Weekend in 2009. It should be a great place and a great time.
Thanks to all of the CLGK Valdyba members, especially those that are leaving this year; Ray Rimkus (President) and Al Zvinakis (Secretary). Also, special thanks to Ramune Dagys for once again putting on a great annual banquet and raffle and to Paul Dagys for running this year's match play.

MEMBERSHIP DUES
Club dues of $40 adults, $10 juniors 15 to 18 years, under 15 years free, can be paid at anytime but must be paid prior to June 1st. If you have not paid you will be removed from the handicap list. Please make your check payable to "CLGK" and give your check to Chet Baksys at this tournament or mail it to him at:
