When we meet someone for the first time, we want to find out as much about them as possible. A very powerful tool for doing this is astrology: not the astrology of newspaper columns, but serious astrology.
A complete personal horoscope uses your time, date and place of birth to calculate the positions of the planets at the time you were born: this shows the sign of each planet in your chart and the ways in which the energies of these planets work together. Each planet represents an energy in your life: for example, Mercury represents communication skills, while Venus represents your aesthetic sense, your love of beauty and the more romantic side of your personality. Mars is to do with ambition and sexuality, while Jupiter and Saturn tell us about the successes and pitfalls in our life.
Unfortunately, calculating and interpreting a personal chart is not something that you can do without a great deal of knowledge and experience. A visit to an astrologer can easily cost £50.
Instead, Astrology-Plus is offering an advanced astrology line, called AstroCall. This takes your date (and, if possible, your time) of birth, and uses it to calculate your personal chart. It then goes through each planet, explaining how its sign position and aspects affect your personality. The AstroCall service is on 0891-314-909 (United Kingdom only).
If you know your time and place of birth, AstroCall will use these to make a more accurate calculation. You will be asked to choose the town nearest to your place of birth: don’t worry if you are a few miles out - it won’t make much difference. If you were born outside the UK, you can give the international dialling code of the place you were born. Make sure that your phone is switched to "tone" rather than "pulse" before you dial (you should hear a different note for each number when you dial). If you have an older phone, the service will still work, but you will have to say the answers, rather than pressing the buttons on the telephone.
