I wasn't particularly inspired, so I picked a song title randomly out of my collection (this was truly random - I even used the random number generator at Random.org). And I got Ayumi Hamasaki's song "Surreal". And despite my lack of inspiration, I'm pretty happy with this poem. (Also, I scanned the piece of paper I originally wrote this on. :D Here's a sample.)

"Surreal" (#3)
Life for me is never surreal-
I reach out, I touch, I feel.
Dreams are vague and scary.
Like an unknown disease.

Anyone can have a dream.
Anyone can wake up.
Anyone can feel the same.
That ain't surreal.

Only the jaded think that life is a dream.
They say: "Nothing is what it seems."
I say look a little harder.
Think a little smarter.

The pain is still in their eyes when they smile.
A lonely mile is still a mile.
No matter how you pray to God, you can't fly.
Nobody cares if you cry.

Anyone can have a dream.
Anyone can wake up.
Anyone can feel the same.
That ain't surreal.
