The only poem I wrote the week I was at the beach (lazy me). I was reading the lyrics in the CD booklet to some of the songs on Avril Lavigne's album and wrote this. (Not my CD by the way.)

"Movin' On" (#30)
For one long year
I was sitting here
wishing you were dead
'cause you were
      messin' with my head.

But I've seen the light -
know you weren't
      worth the fight.
I'm movin' on -
There's nowhere to go
      but up.

I got so tired
of waiting for you.
Some weak jerk
without a clue.

I'm so fucking
sick of crying
every night,
screaming your name.

I've seen the light.
You're not worth it.

I know it's hard
to stick by someone -
I acted like you, too,
when I was two.
So go on your
      fucking way.
I got nothin'
      to say.

It feels so damn
good to leave it
      all behind.
You're just a memory.
I've seen the light.
I'm movin' on.
Nowhere to go but up.
