In my Art History book, I saw this term, damnatio memoriae, which meant "government sanctioned destruction;" something that Roman and Egyptian rulers did to the artwork featuring the rulers before them. So I put my own spin on it. :) This is one of my favorites, by the way.

"Damnatio Memoriae" (#38)
The world was never big enough for everyone.
Men become prominent by destroying everything.
Any memory of the past is now only a bloody corpse.

We're approaching a damnatio memoriae of the world.
Vain rulers make a weapon to wipe out all people,
while the scars on the Earth threaten revenge.

Time will keep passing no matter how you pray.
Your illusions of divine intervention are an
excuse for the irresponsible discarding of life.

We're no longer capable of responsibility for ourselves.
This world has been distorted out of recognition.
What we call primitive was our only hope.

We're approaching a damnatio memoriae of the world.
We can no longer stop it nor deny it.
Because our own destruction is in our blood.
