"The First Snow"
I went outside for the first time in days,
Just to see the beauty of the first snowflakes;
I ate spicy vermacelli at the restaurant,
And got lost in a scary movie's message;
Do you know how long it has been?
Do you know how much it hurts to return to the outside?

A year may not seem like a long time you,
But it's a year's worth of friendless, lonely nights;
From summer to the snow and back again;
Watching people laughing together in cafés;
I'd become comfortable in my loneliness,
But the lure of the first snow brought me back.

Well, it's nothing really, this frozen water;
It's not really much to get dressed and go outside;
But I've been sleeping with books and songs,
And become intimate friends with a journal;
It's not much to be brave enough to face the cold;
But it's everything to me.
