#014. Thoughts on Loneliness
Loneliness is an emptiness --
A simplicity --
You choke on the heavy air
Of stagnancy --
The whole world takes on
A sepia tone,
And the only way to break out
Is to kill yourself,
Or some other such act that
Speeds the blood.
Loneliness is right beside you,
When you talk
About a past that's full of people,
A loneliness
That turns my gut on itself --
More tangible
Than the sleepiness in your mind
That no sleep
Will take away from.
Loneliness is
The life you make inside
Yourself
To escape the tangible pain
That others
Are capable of inflicting on you --
You can do
Crazy living in a self-made world,
The kind
That contains no oxygen,
So you
Must die or break out and
Experience
Life among the living.
