It's been months since I thought of you.
But suddenly we're meeting in the dark
and having sex in a strange room.
I always admired the way God put you together.
We can't forget our enduring loneliness;
all we can do is get lost in each other's bodies.
I know you loved her - I can see your tears.
Just as I loved him - will we ever forget?
Having your mouth on mine feels so damn good.
You're holding me like I'm all you have.
We know that this is useless -
our pain will still be there in the morning.
But with all the loneliness behind us
and all the loneliness in front of us
we can at least abandon it here in the dark.
