Artist 'Incognito' currently under investigation
http://www.incognitosdesigns.co.uk/heads.htm
I have been known to be fair and just in the past. However, true justice does not mean that I will be a doormat
for people to continually take advantage of me.
This person has been reported numerous times in the past, suspected of copying my work. Each time, I have
extended grace and mercy. Unfortunately, this person has chosen to continue tracing over my work and
attempting to pass them off as her own designs. I will not tolerate people taking advantage of my kindness.
In addition, this person is charging people money for work which she claims is original. As evidence shows, clearly
it does not appear to be.
When confronted, her reply is generally, "I don't think their 99% the same either". Well, all I have to say
about that is look for yourself. Last time I was in court and someone made a comment like that, the courtroom
broke out in laughter as they examined the undenyable evidence before them.
For the record, my terms of use, which is located in the image information on every file I create for customers, states:
"Original Custom Doll Heads Created exclusively for __________
ŠAuburn Angel, all rights reserved Hair May not be edited without permission"
That means that it is a direct violation of my terms of use for someone to trace over my heads, following the contour
of my designs, change the color or a curl or three, and then pass it off as an original design.
*NOTE* Not only is copying someone else's work rude, dishonest and distasteful, it is
also illegal. Legally, I am entitled to financial compensation for each violation
of copyrighted material if evidence withstands in a court of law.
The hair design under investigation you see displayed below is one of my best works and personal favorites. Designed
for one of my customers, it was one of the first 'realistic' style heads I created with a new technique of painting.
As I painted the hair, strand by strand, it took on it's own unique design. It was not based on any photograph,
but is a design I created from my own artistic inspiration, which originated in my head. The completed hair design
emerged beautifully as the inspiration unfolded stroke by stroke on my graphic canvas.
I find it very hard to believe that another artist could have 'coincidentally' come up with the same design. If
it were based on a photograph....that argument might hold up. However, this desigh is 100% Auburn Angel original and
I can prove it in my rough draft sketches, which I have safely tucked away in my files.
Apparently, Incognito has this head available as an adoptable (quoted from an e-mail by her where she stated, "many
many many girls have that head honey in different colors, its been up for adopt for months")
Please be aware that there may be many unsuspecting doll collectors using this head, which is now
under investigation as suspected violation of copyright.

In this file below, the heads are first shown side by side.
Then Incognito's head is displayed below with AA head re-colored blue for illustrating match of contours of hair.
In the original psp format of this file, if you take the overlay of the AA head and fade the opacity bar, the hair matches
up perfectly, exposing an undenyable match.

*NOTE:
Incognito date of creation for psp file of her head is February 6, 2006
Auburn Angel date of creation for psp file of original head is April 25, 2005
(This is yet one of many examples of her suspected copied work that I have confronted her on
in the past)
