Brief history: Charisma's life has been far from opressed or depressing. After all, she was born and raised in what is worldwidely known as "paradise". And it was semi-reclusive; there were only tourists that graced the isles, and vacationers. Charisma herself enjoyed a happy care-free lifestyle, along with the rest of the island, until the battles of Anarkis.
Anarkis swept through the island with a frightening speed and force. Barely a soul was spared, and those that did live escaped to the mainland. Charisma was one of these few souls.
Once they landed, they spread out to their seperate ways. Charisma found it fairly easy to survive on her own, and continued to remain worry-free.. until Lupo's A-side ravaged Coveland and a good chunk of the planet as well. She found it increasingly difficult to survive financially. But even with Lupo and his warrior peanut gallery, she still believes her worst stroke of luck was being in a particular bar on a particular night. This particular bar was Hope's Defeat..
Where she met Rax Sheppard.
When she had met him in this particular bar, she felt that he was a genuinely nice guy: He listened to her troubles, he offered good advice and humor, bought her food and drink. And when she mentioned she had no place to live, he offered her shelter for the night. Reluctantly, she accepted.. though she knew in her heart it was a stupid idea, she just had no choice. So, she went to his home.. and when she refused to sleep with him (and now she knows that he knew she would), he simply shrugged it off and plunged a syringe in her arm.
When she came to, she was in a cell of sorts; cold, dark, and dank with a musty smell. And she didn't remain just there; she was often transported to various areas that were equally dark and dank. And she was put through numerous activities, and forms of torture. She was forced to undergo painful additions to her person: tattoos--one on each shoulder and a barcode on her back. Also, she was graced with a chain attached directly to her left shoulder bone, and cannot be removed. She was fitted with an armband with the word "BRANDED" on her left arm, and that too cannot be removed.
She thought that she would be there for good; precautions had been taken as to prevent her own suicide. She felt as though there truly was no longer any hope left in the world.. that is, until she met a scrawny looking blonde in the pits one day.
For one reason or another, Charisma had made it a point to know all the new slaves brought in, and she never for one second believed she'd have ever met someone of the like of this one: she was small, and frail looking, but she soon proved her strength and prowess.. not to mention who she was. Everything that she was on the outside meant less than nothing. The point was, Amanda was there for a purpose, and that was to save they of the Slave Menangerie.
And right when she was about to make her move, Rax had gotten wind of her somewhat, and went through his entire menangerie and slaughtering them all. Amanda was only able to save Tiche Leone, and Charisma herself; something that Charisma is grateful for to this very day. She believes that she'd most certainly be dead if it wasn't for Amanda.. nor does she think she would have ever met the one man she had ever felt she loved-- Shane Redman.
All in all, Charisma doesn't care about revenge in the slightest; all she wants is for the war to end, and to be with her one true love..
But the past will not be so easily forgotten, especially if he has any say in it.
