What is Junior Development??? Arizona Junior Development Camp is run by Arizona AWSA affiliated clubs to increase the visibility and growth of the sport of 3 event waterskiing in AZ. Each year at one of the local clubs leads an effort in running the camp. The club organizes quality coaches, food, dry land instruction, and information on judging, scoring and tournaments for the juniors. Each junior skier gets approximately 2 runs per day in addition to the dry land practice and other activities. The camp is run by qualified and rated instructors and is sanctioned by the AWSA. All juniors are supervised during the entire camp. All this is provided FREE OF CHARGE to juniors and their families. If you would like to help out by donating any amount please contact Mark Showah. Contributions are tax deductible.
This year there will be two Junior Development Camps. The first is a one day camp hosted by ASU on April 24, 1999. The second is a one day camp hosted by Lakeside Ski Village (Betty Yount - lead) on June 8, 1999. Please pass any information on to others who may be interested in attending or leaning more about the camp. Juniors are the future of the sport, please help us in investing for our future. ASU waterski team is coaching this clinic using some of the best coaching talent in the country.
