Welcome

To my memories page.

Why do I call this my my memories

page? When I was younger, in my

teens, I remember going up to Crandon

Wisconsin canping with my family.

Every eveing I would sit on the picnic

table at 7:30 at night and listen to my

dad's short wave radio. The song that

always came on was "The Wreck of the

Edmund Fitzgerald". It came to be my

favorite song. I would listen to that

song as I would watch the sun set on the

lake as it was still as a mirror. It was

one of the most memorable things in

my childhood. So, I went camping with

my family in June of 1999, to the

Porcupine Mountains, and we stayed

right on Lake Superior, the very lake that

the Edmund Fitzgerald sank in. It was

really something special So, I have

compiled a few pictures that I think are

very good, and capture that beauty

that I remember as a kid.

This picture was taken from a huge

rock my husband and I sat on every

night to watch the sun set and every

morning we watched the sun come up.

This is from the same rock, but it was

darker, and the picture is not the great

quality, but I love sunsets.

This is a picture of the sky right after

the sun set. The water is below. I think

of God and all his wonderful works.

This is Lake of the Clouds. When our

friends said it was a long hike, they

weren't kidding. They also weren't kidding

when they said it was worth it. It is beautiful!

This is Bond Falls. It was quite the hike.

But I made it. I tripped and fell

flat on my face through every

single hike we did, it got to the point

that if I didn't fall, something was

missing.

Well, I have a lot more pics, but

didn't want to put all of them on

here. OH! By the way, do you like

my graphics? I made them all

by myself. I know they are

nothing fancy, but it's something I've

wanted to do for so long, and I finally

did it.

Thanks for stopping by.
