On November 18, 1998, the Secretary of State of the State of Nebraska certified the Polish Heritage Society of Nebraska, Inc., as a public benefit corporation under the Nebraska Non-profit Corporation Act, with its purpose and objectives as follows:
The preservation , promotion, and encouragement of Polish heritage with specific emphasis on the preservation of Polish culture and customs.
The Preservation of Polish history in the Omaha area, and the history of Polish immigration to Nebraska in the 19th and 20th century.
The preservation of Polish World War II history referred to as the "Forgotten Holocaust" and the preservation of World War II artifacts brought by Polish survivors.
The funding of scholarships to deserving students of Polish descent and to students engaged in Polish studies

In pursuit of its objectives, the society is gathering Polish artifacts appropriate for our museum, which is located at St Francis Church at 4513 S. 32nd St. in Omaha, Nebraska. The museum was established May 3, 2003, and is open by appointment. If you have any items suitable for this endeavor, please e-mail us at mail@phson.org or call Nancy Schlesiger at (402) 331-2409.
The Polish Heritage Society of Nebraska, Inc is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, section 501(c)(3). Your monetary or historical artifact contributions to the Society are tax deductible. In addition, many employers support a matching-gifts program which can increase the value of your donation. Check with your employer's human resources department.
