2074 Wrestler of the Year: Morpheus Tag Team of the Year: Guardians (Morpheus/Omega) Match of the Year: Guardians vs Commander Sam/ Torin Caelum Year in Review: The league started off with a tournament for a new champion. Morpheus defeated Bullwhip in the finals and remained champion though out the year. The Guardians won the Tag Team Championship in a tournament and held it for the rest of the year. On October 31st, in a tag team match, Omega injured Torin. It would take over a year for Torin to be back to full strength. 2075 Wrestler of the Year: Omega Tag Team of the Year: Dorado Sundown Match of the Year: Omega def Morpheus Year in Review: 2075 was Omega's year. In January, he won the title from Morpheus and would hold it thoughout the year defeating Torin and Commander Sam. Dorado Sundown won match after match during the year, culmunating in winning the Tag Team titles from the Guardians in late September. 2076 Wrestler of the Year: Omega Tag Team of the Year: Dorado Sundown Match of the Year: Morpheus def Omega Year in Review: Omega continued his reign though out the year defeating such people as Commander Sam, Santon, Thetis, Blacklash. When he did finally face Morpheus in November, Morpheus regained the title. Dorado Sundown went undefeated in 2076 defeating such tag teams as Torin/Comm Sam and the Guardians. 2077 Wrestler of the Year: Bullwhip Tag Team of the Year: Dorado Sundown Match of the Year: Santon def Bullwhip Year in Review: In a major upset in January, Bullwhip defeated Morpheus to win the title. Bullwhip went on to defend the title against lesser opponents like Thetis. In August, Santon defeated Bullwhip with a Spike Piledriver to become champion. Dorado Sundown remained champions though out the year. In April, Dorado Sundown faced the Guardians. Just when the Guardians were about to take the title, Bullwhip hit Omega with an illegal object causing Dorado Sundown to lose the match, but retain the title 2078 Wrestler of the Year: Santon Tag Team of the Year: Guardians Match of the Year: Blacklash def Bullwhip Year in Review: Santon went on to be a good champion. He defeated Commander Sam and Omega in title defenses. In a major upset, Thetis beat him for the title in September. The next night, Morpheus beat Thetis in under two minutes to become champion for the third time. The Guardians won the Tag Team titles in February, and defended them successfully against Dorado Sundown, Torin/ Commander Sam, and Crosscurrents. 2079 Wrestler of the Year: Tie Morpheus/Santon Tag Team of the Year: Gamemasters Match of the Year: Commander Sam def Omega Year in Review: Morpheus remained champion though out 2079 defeating Omega and Vortex among others. When the Guardians split up early in the year, a tournament was held for new tag team champions. The Gamemasters defeated the Estorians for the title. Blacklash (50-30) and Bullwhip (35-35) retired this year. Dorado Sundown was a powerful tag team with the record of 35-10.
Wrestler of the Decade: Morpheus 2080 Wrestler of the Year: Morpheus Tag Team of the Year: Morpheus/Magnus Match of the Year: Morpheus/Magnus def Game Masters Year in Review: Morpheus went undefeated in 2080. He defeated Star Warrior, Santon and Omega twice for the title during the year. Morpheus/Magnus also went undefeated. They took the Tag Team title from the Gamemasters in April. Former champion Santon retired at the end of the year with a record of 70-34. 2081 Wrestler of the Year: Magnus Tag Team of the Year: Morpheus/Magnus Match of the Year: Morpheus def Omega Year in Review: Magnus defeated his tag team partner Morpheus, to win the title in January. Morpheus and Magnus defended the title against the Game Masters. Magnus went on to defend the championship title against such opponents as Tantalis and Thetis. Torin Caelum retired with the record 86-40. Torin entered the league in his later part of his career. He was plagued with injures. His two worst were from Omega in 2074 and Santon in 2076. Without these injures he could have achieved much more in the league. 2082 Wrestler of the Year: Commander Sam Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Commander Sam Match of the Year: Tantalis def Commander Sam Year in Review: The championship title changed hands four times during the year with Commander Sam winning it twice (from Magnus and Parsec) The tag team title switched hands from Morpheus/Magnus to Omega/Sam and back to Morpheus/Magnus at the end of the year. Thetis (37-104) and Vortex (20-127) retired at the end of the year. They never quite lived up to their potential. Crosscurrents finished with a record of 15-68 Thetis did however hold the championship title for one month in 2078 before losing it to Morpheus. 2083 Wrestler of the Year: Morpheus Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Sam Match of the Year: Omega/Sam defeat Magnus/Morpheus Year in Review: Morpheus held the title through out the entire year defeating such opponants as Tantalis, Parsec,Cosmos. Omega and Sam held the tag team title though out the entire year also. Tantalis began the year as champion. In January, Morpheus regained the title for the fourth time. During the Omega/Sam vs Morpheus/Magnus title match, Tantalis entered the ring and piledrived Omega on the concrete floor. Omega was our for half the year. Tantalis received a lifetime ban from the league. Parsec continued to wrestle the rest of the year, and then he retired also in the first week of 2084. Parsec (31-56) and Tantalis (46-24) both held the championship title for short time while never achieving the tag team title as the Estorians (20-20). 2084 Wrestler of the Year: Morpheus Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Sam Match of the Year: KO Keller def Morpheus Year in Review: KO Keller started out the year by defeating Morpheus for the title. He held the title until his next match when he lost it to his tag team partner Lord Nexus. Nexus then lost the title back to Morpheus who held it the rest of the year. Omega/Sam lost the title in November to CTA-102. Magnus retired at the end of the year with the record 72-34. He held the world title in 2081 and the Tag Team title twice with Morpheus 26-19. 2085 Wrestler of the Year: KO Keller Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Sam Match of the Year: KO Keller def Montol Year in Review: Commander Sam beat Morpheus for the title early in the year. KO Keller then defeated Commander Sam for his second world title. Late in the year Montrol defeated KO Keller to win the title. Montrol gave a speech after winning the title that he would now concentrate on singles wrestling. Commander Kraken was furious. He organized a beating of Montrol. Montrol got the hint that his life was in danger, and he left the IWA to return home. Omega/Sam defeated CTA-102 to regain the title and went on to defend it for the rest of the year. The greatest wrestler of the IWA's early years Morpheus retired at the end of the year. His final record was five time singles champ (156-64) and four time tag team champ Guardians twice (45-25) and with Magnus twice (26-19). Also retiring were KO Keller (24-9), Vice (22-8), Montrol (14-9), Big Superstar (4-15). 2086 Wrestler of the Year: Commander Sam Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Sam Match of the Year: Wolf def Thantos for title Year in Review: Since Montrol vacated the title, a tournament was held in January. Commander Sam defeated Marcel de Sade in the tournament final. Commander Sam lost the title to Cosmos halfway through the year. As new champion, Cosmos made a break from Star Warrior and Omega and changed his name to Thantos. In October, Wolf defeated Thantos for the title. After Wolf left the ring, an event happened that would change the face of the IWA forever. Thantos was attacked in the ring by Polarity, his head split open, giving him a scar that would be with him the rest of his life. Thantos refused to see Omega and Star Warrior when they came to see him in the hospital. He blamed them for not coming to his aid, but the truth is they had both already left the arena. It is rumored that he did see Morpheus around this time. In late 2086, Thantos appeared on TV for the first time since his injury. He proceeded to rip up the Galaxian code that all wrestlers lived by. "This is now war," he declared. Thantos began to organize a team of wrestlers to fight by his side. Star Warrior followed suite and the IWA was changed forever. During these troubled times, several wrestlers decided to leave the IWA: Sin (9-9) and Salvation (5-12) of Polarity (8-8) feared for their lives and disappeared , Darkstar Creature (14-14), Mighty Grogan (16-6), Code Enforcer (36-16), and mimic(27-32). And of course, the former tag team champions, The Game Masters, (26-38) were no more. 2087 Wrestler of the Year: Wolf Tag Team of the Year: Omega/Sam Match of the Year: Wolf def Comrade Terror Year in Review: Even with the huge influx of talent, Wolf and Omega/Sam were able to hold onto their respective titles thoughout the entire year. Wolf defended the title multiple times against Comrade Terror. He also defeated Mutant as Star Warrior was moving up the rankings. At the end of the year, Star Warrior was the number one contender, and was poised to begin his turn as champion. Omega/Sam defeated all the top tag team talent including the Flying Titans and the Evil Ones. At the end of the year, Omega decided to retire from tag team competition, bringing to an end the most powerful tag team in IWA history. Omega and Sam were Tag Team Champions four times (72-15). Omega was also Tag Team champion twice with Morpheus (45-25). Commander Sam chose young Adam Blast as his new partner in the Bomb Squad. 2088 Wrestler of the Year: Star Warrior Tag Team of the Year: The Animen Match of the Year: Star Warrior def Thantos when Thantos DQ. Year in Review: With the breakup of Omega/Sam, a tag team tournament was held in the beginning of the year to determine the new champions. Twelve tag teams entered the tournament and The Gladiators defeated Titan Power in the finals. In March, Brute performed a brutal attack on the Incredible Badger, resulting the Badger being sidelined for two months. In response, Brute was suspended until the end of the year and The Gladiators were striped of the tag team title. When Incredible Badger was healed, a match was held between The Animen and Titan Power to determine a new tag team champion. The Animen won and held the title throughout the rest of the year. Star Warrior defeated Wolf in January of 2088 and he held onto the title the rest of the year. In November, he faced Thantos for the title. Thantos went berserk and was disqualifed, running his chance for the title. 2089 Wrestler of the Year: Star Warrior Tag Team of the Year: The Gladiators Match of the Year: I Kraken def Star Warrior by DQ Year in Review: The year started out with a tournament to crown the first ever Interplanetary Champion. Brute defeated Billy Joe Boxer to become the first champion. The title then went to The Incredible Badger and then Killer Queen. Star Warrior held the HW title throughout the entire year. He defeated Death Knight, Bishop Hell, Massacre, The Creeper in title defenses. He lost only one match to Kraken, when Star Warrior was disqualified, so the title didn't change hands. The Gladiators held the Tag Team title for the whole year defeating everybody, Greek Gods, Titan Power, Animen....
Wrestler of the Decade: Star Warrior 2090 Wrestler of the Year: Thantos Tag Team of the Year: Titan Power Match of the Year: Titan Power def Gladiators Year in Review: 2090 featured the reemergence of Thantos as a champion. Thantos worked his way up the rankings from 17th to 2nd during 2089. In 2090, he set his sights on the HW championship. First he had to get past Proteus, the Interplanetary Champion. After he won the IP title for Proteus Thantos set his sights on his arch enemy, the HW champion Star Warrior. Thantos won the match in less than 3 minutes. This forced Thantos to relinquish the IP title. Spike won a tournament to crown the new IP champion. Titan Power won the Tag Team Title early in the year and held it until September when The Gladiators regained it. They lost it in November to The Western Powers. This was Commander Sams fifth time as a tag team champion. 2091 Wrestler of the Year: Thantos Tag Team of the Year: Gladiators Match of the Year: Battering Ram def Thantos for HW Title Year in Review: The War Games began, and Thantos continued his dominiation. Thantos held the HW championship for most of the year and the War Games Singles Championship for the entire year. He defeated such contenders as Exoking, Kraken, Spike, Lord Nexus, and Mr. Galaxy. In July, Battering Ram scored the greatest upset in IWA history, by defeating Thantos for the HW title. Thantos regained the title the next night and held it for the rest of the year. The Incredible Badger won the IP title from Spike and held it for the year defeating Exoking, Mutant and even Wolf. The Gladiators regained the TT title in February for the fourth time and held it until November when the Galacticops beat them. The War Games TT title was won by Bomb Squad 2 in a tournament in January. In July, Special Forces won the title and finished the year with it. Thantos and the Unholy Alliance dominated the War Games and won the War Games title for 2091. 2092 Wrestler of the Year: Chaos Tag Team of the Year: Gladiators Match of the Year: Chaos def Thantos for HW title Year in Review: The second year of War Games began with the entrance of Chaos. With the breakup of Special Forces, a tournament was held to determine the new War Games TT champions. Chaos and Matador of M83 won the title as Third Force. They held the title for the entire year. Chaos worked his way up the singles rankings until he defeated Thantos for the HW title in September and Star Warrior for the War Games Singles title in October. The IP title was won by Matador of M83 in January. Galactic Punisher defeated the Matador in March. Exoking defeated him in April and he held the title at the end of the year. He had some hard fought victories during those months culminating in a bloody victory over Wolf. Exoking decided he was tired and decided to take 2093 off, vacating the IP Title. Cosmic Forces Defeated the Galacticops for the TT title in April. In March, The Gladiators defeated them to become the TT champions for the record 5th time. Thantos and the Galactic Rebels edged out the Federation Defense Fighters for the War Games title. Thantos is on a roll with the War Games, but Chaos has sworn that Victory will be his in 2093.
2093 Wrestler of the Year: Star Warrior Tag Team of the Year: Gladiators Match of the Year: Star Warrior defeats Chaos Year in Review: 2093 was the year of Star Warrior. Dropping to #9, Star Warrior decided to rededicate himself to the sport. He ignored his pride, and entered the Inter Planetary tournament to crown a new champion. He defeated Spike in the finals. After winning, he set his sights on regaining the HW title which he did in July from Chaos. He then defended the title again against Chaos and Dreadnaught. Thantos won the IP tournament when Star Warrior relinquished the title with his HW win. Thantos then lost the title in October to Pulsar Prime. The Gladiators lost the title early in the year to Animal Pack. The Gladiators won the title back a month later and held it until September when the Galacticops took it from them. The final year of the War Games went to the Champions of the Galaxy due to Star Warriors run as IP, HW and War Games Singles champs. Star Warrior and Alpha Force held the War Games Tag titles for the entire year. 2094 Wrestler of the Year: Alpha Force Tag Team of the Year: Advanced Guard Match of the Year: Matador of M83 defeats Star Warrior Year in Review: The first year of Sudden Death saw many epic battles. Alpha Force went on a tear through the league going 40-5. Star Warrior lost the HW title to Matador of M83 in June. In December, Alpha Force finished off his spectacular year by beating Matador. Pulsar Prime lost the IP title to Ghengis Khan in April, and Terek beat him in May. Terek then held the IP title for the rest of the year. The Advanced Guard beat the Galacticops in March. Revolution beat them in May, and the Advanced Guard regained it November. 2095 Wrestler of the Year: Tag Team of the Year: Match of the Year: Year in Review: 2096 Wrestler of the Year: Tag Team of the Year: Match of the Year: Year in Review:
