Patsy Gharrity was Walter Johnson's preferred catcher during his playing years and the Big Train did him a favor and gave him a job. Patsy was a Senator's catcher from 1916 to 1923 and a player/coach in 1929 and 1930. He was "declared ineligible by the commissioner or league president" from 1924 to 1928, which means that he missed the Senators only World Series triumph in 1924, as well as the Series of 1925.
