Allenson was International League MVP with Pawtucket in 1978. He shared catching
duties in Boston with Carlton Fisk, and later Rich Gedman. He might have lasted longer
had he been better able to hit major league breaking pitches.
Gary is now the Manager of the Ottawa Lynx, an AAA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
