Dean pitched for St. Louis (NL) 1930, 1932-1937; Chicago (NL) 1938-1941; and St. Louis (AL) 1947. He pitched in 317 games, made 230 starts and pitched 26 shutouts. One of Dean's shutouts were with more than one catcher.
