Use the following Quick Keys below to aid you into proper keyboarding technique.

How Your Work Area Should Be Arranged

bulletYour keyboard should be directly in front of your chair.
bulletThe front-edge of your keyboard should be even with the desk or table.
bulletChair should be placed directly in front of keyboard for easy reach.
bulletBook or paper should be behind or at the side of the keyboarding.

 

Proper Keying Position

bulletFingers curved and upright over home keys.
(asdf jkl;)
bulletWrists low, but not touching keyboard.
bulletForearms parallel to slant of keyboard.
bulletBody erect, sitting back in chair.
bulletFeet flat on floor for balance.
bulletEyes should be on copy when keyboarding.
