 | (6-12-99) I just finished up a MAJOR cleanup and additions for the McHargue line after receiving more data from Arlene Hansen. I discovered that many of the McHargue's were duplicated one way or another (some had a Jr. and another would have II, and still another wouldn't have any extra designation), so those have all been corrected as well. I also added a bunch along the line of Thomas Jefferson Gastineau and Mahala Catherine McHargue and their descendants. |
| In the meantime (between then and mid-May), as I mention below, I've received A LOT more data! Getting everything sorted out correctly and re-designing the web site will take a while, so please bear with me. I've also finally upgraded to Family Tree Maker ver. 6.0. |
| Sometime in Late January or early February, the previous site where I had all theis (neotown), just up and disappeared. I've now (mid-May) found another site to host this. |
| (1-13-99) I've merged in the GEDCOM files from Vern Maxson and Scott Fisher. This increased the total names in the file by about 2,500. |
| (12/30/98) I've finally figured out how to get my notes included on the Surname pages. Keeping everything over on the other server sure helps out a lot. This site can stay under the (free) 15 MB limit for a while longer now, and it also makes indexing/searching easier for others that may be researching into one of our lines also. |
| (12/4/98) I've updated the "Documents" page and the "Surnames Index Page". There are now 1,000 individuals in the Surnames section. (And this is just the direct descendants of Thomas and their spouses). I'm debating right now on including everybody, to include all cousins and other associated lines. This is the way my main file is already, but it has 29,000 individuals already. I need to study on this some more, but let me know what you think also. |
