MOLESWORTH, MY MOLE
A mole is not the obvious pet
That one might want to keep;
He's either digging tunnels
Or else he's fast asleep.
We tried him babysitting;
One couldn't claim success;
And if he's put to gardening
He makes a fearful mess.
I reckon we've tried everything
But nothing's any use;
If it weren't for his smart jacket
I think we'd turn him loose.
