Wrongly convicted for crimes he didn't commit solely to get him out of the way, Benjamin Barker, a good and honest barber, is sent to jail. Doomed to spend years without his family. On his release he heads straight for home, hitching a ride on a ship set to dock in London. returning home he finds that the life he knew is completely gone, and Sweeney Todd is born.
