Satyr, vocals & lead guitar
Perhaps one of the best musician in the scene today. With his talent for songwriting and technical mightyness he fronts Satyricon in a way few, if any, other men could do. He writes all the lyrics and music for Satyricon, and if you read the lyrics you certainly notices that they deal with medieval feelings and are of course very antichristian. Satyr is also involved in other projects such as Wongraven, a dark ambient band with medieval influences. He also fronts Storm, together with Fenriz of Darkthrone and Kari Rueslotten, ex The 3;d and the Mortal (who have left Storm after throwing loads of shit talk upon Satyr and Fenriz) Storm is a band focusing upon the Norse folk music and medieval heritage. Of what I've heard, Storm has reached far, and is even played on Norwegian radio now and then. He is also the editor of Nordic Vision fanzine. He uses the pseudonym Melankol X there, and in Storm and Wongraven he uses the name S. Wongraven.
Frost, battery
Frost is an excellent drummer, and together with Satyr he is the original member of Satyricon, as the other members have entered and left the band after some time. He has been involved in many other bands and projects, he has played drums with Gorgoroth as well as Zyklon B, amoung others. Currently serving a prison sentence from May to August.
Samoth, guitars on "The Shadowthrone"
Samoth (Emperor) joined Satyricon and recorded the guitars on the album "The Shadowthrone", but later left the band, either because of his imprisonment or other reasons I do not know about. Anyway you can find him in Emperor of course, and together with Frost in Zyklon B, and he has also participated in many other bands and projects.
Kveldulv, guitars on "Nemesis Divina"
Kveldulv (known as Nocturno Culto in Darkthrone) joined Satyricon and took care of the guitars on their latest full length album "Nemesis Divina". He stayed with Satyricon for a pretty long time, but some time ago he left the band. He is also to be found in Darkthrone.
Richard Cabeza, bass
The latest addition to the Satyricon crew is Richard Cabeza, ex Dismember bass player. So far they haven't released anything with this new lineup.
