"I think our personalities are very immature and fool-aroundish," says Mark. So how did Tom and Mark meet? Mark's sister was going out with one of Toms friends. They noticed that Tom and Mark shared the same interests and later introduced them to each other. The first time they met they hit it off and have been best friends ever since.

Tom's first guitar was given to him by a friend for his Birthday. The guitar was bought at a pawn shop and he has been playing ever since. Before Tom was ever a rock star he had jobs like lifting big bags of concrete at a construction site. He also served costomers at Gary's Chicken and Ribs. But what kind of job would he like to have if he wasn't a rock star? He would like to be an astronaut, "I'm obsessed with aliens and UFO's" says Tom.

Before Travis was in Blink 182 he was playing the drums in
a California ska band called the Aquabats. His stage name was Baron von
Tito. Scott Raynor was the drummer of Blink182 before Travis. When Scott
left to go to college the was an opening for drummer. Tom and mark already
knew Travis and he was a great drummer so he became the new member for Blink 182.
Blink Shit 1) Blink-182 first had they're name Blink. But then added 3 totally random numbers (182) to avoid a lawsuit from the Irish band, Blink.
2)How Blink 182 got the '182', there accually is no reason for it, just 3 random numbers. but Mark and Tom like to make up reasons for the 182, they've come up with reasons like:
..is how many times Al Pacino's character says 'fuck' in the movie Scarface
..Marks ideal weight
..the number of miles between Marks house and his girlfriends
..the number on Mark's grandfathers boat in World War II
..the eighteenth letter of the alphabet is R. the second is B 18+2=RB, or Rancho Barnardo where Mark and Scott lived for many years.
3)All the Blink-182 band members are from California:Thomas DeLonge is from Encinitas, Mark Hoppus is from Carmel Mountain Ranch, and Travis Barker is from Riverside
4)Tom went to Poway High School and Mark went to Burroughs High School.
5)Tom got kicked out of high school for drinking alcohol, yet, when he was enrolled back in school, he was voted homecoming king.
6)Tom is really into UFOs
7)Some people think Adam's Song (from Enema Of The State) is about suicide, but it is really about surviving loneliness!
8)Did you know.. That the whole band wears J.Crew boxers!
