Fairytale: This is one of my favourite Enya songs. The MIDI version isn't half as good as the original, and the beginning sounds too "Nintendo 8Bit games"-like. However, it develops into a very pleasant tune, and all the harmonies are well done. ****
Triad:This interpretation of a rather difficult song - as it is made of three separate parts - is very surprising. I nearly liked this version better than Enya's! ;-) This might be overly dramatic, but it gives life to the song. *****
Boadicea: A rather "video game"-like version of a very beautiful song. This MIDI is rather poor, but hey, Boadicea is my name! ;-) And do not forget: it is Enya who wrote this song originally, and NOT the Fugees (@#?#§&!). ***
Cursum Perficio: Here again, "Cursum Perficio" seems to have been a real hit. There are many variations, adding some techno beats or making the song even totally unrecognisable (see: Enya Music Oddities). This one, though lacking the song's depth and drama, is still nicely close to the original version. ****
Storms in Africa: This version of one of my great favourite songs is very well done. "Storms in Africa" is really difficult to play, its atmosphere is nearly impossible to render and the singing (I tried!) requires a lot of skill. So this version is very pleasing, though slightly too slow. *****
Exile: This version of a very sad, emotional song is very good. The melancholy is nicely rendered, and the fact that this file is slightly faster than the original song isn't a problem. ****
Orinoco Flow: Yet another very difficult song. I like this version for its fine rendition of harmonies and voices, which the other MIDIs lack. Impressive work for such a complicated song. ****
The Longships: A surprising yet pleasing version of this song. Though some slightly heavy parts, in the all it is a good, joyful work. ***
No Holly for Miss Quinn: This is just *the* best interpretation of this song, it's absolutely fabulous. It turns a rather boring melody into a very emotional and powerful music, nearly fit for an orchestra! One problem: it may give trouble to your computer's high speakers, sometimes causing noise. *****
Book of Days: A slightly heavy but pleasant rendition of this beautiful song. Very good rhythm and voices. ****
Far and Away: A very impressive version of the "Far and Away" adaptation of "Book of Days". Very skilful work, lovely rhythm, sounds and harmonies. *****
Lothlórien: Another of my great favourites. This version is very well done, though at some points a little heavy. ****
Afer Ventus: One of my favourites. This version is also good, the harmonies are well rendered... and this is a particularly difficult song to play. ****
Anywhere Is: There are many very bad MIDI versions of this song, as it is difficult to render without using heavy sounds. This one is probably the most pleasant, with good sounds and harmonies. The rythm is somewhat too fast, but in all it is interesting. ***
From Where I Am: This is a very original interpreation of a rather boring song. This version adds drama and mystery to this melody. Excellent. *****
China Roses: A lovely, joyful song. This version is rather good, though the piano does tend to hide the beautiful main theme. Yet this is a fine work, that renders the hope and happiness of the original song. ****
On My Way Home: A good version of a rather difficult song. The energy is well renderd, the rhythm is perfect and the harmonies are nicely done. There are, however, a few heavy parts, but in the all, it is very pleasant. ****
Oriel Window: This beautiful, dynamic tune is well rendered. This version provides beautiful harmonies, so that the song is not brought down to simple piano. However, it doesn't have Enya's expert hand for the piano. ****

Cursum Perficio - Techno Remix: The problem? How to make a classical-sounding piece, that seems to have come straight out of Ancient Rome, into a techno tune? Result: the same old music, with an unfitting, much too rapid beat, and other "cool" sound effects. Produces the same thing as when you listen to the radio whilst watching MTV: clashes. 0 stars
Cursum Perficio - Omega Mix: This is a rather strange adaptation. Again, there are clashes between the classical feeling of the song and the "whistling" sound effects. On the other hand, it is much better than the other "techno" remix, as the melody was adapted to follow the rhythm. *
Cursum Perficio - Techno Tribal Mix: This is something that sounds really weird. A "jungle" version of "Cursum Perficio"? Well, the rhythm is nicely followed, the sounds fit perfectly together. Actually, this is rather a pleasant version, though odd it is. ***
Storms in Africa: Now this actually sounded like "the best" adaptation of this song. It starts out with the beautiful, deep harmonies. And then what comes to spoil it all? Now, I think that there is a slight difference between AFRICAN HAND DRUMS (!!) and a horrible, piercing bleep-bleep! This really is the biggest waste I have ever seen. **
Orinoco Flow: The slight problem is the choice of voices: Enya's voice does NOT usually sound like a Bontempi Kid's organ. This sounds thoroughly amateur, and the rhythm is too slow as well. 0 stars
Orinoco Flow - Techno: This sounds more like '80ies pop music than techno, but it isn't too awful, the music follows the rhythm very well and it has some pretty harmonies. Not a total waste of time. **
Orinoco Flow - Ultimate Techno: Nice harmonies, a good rhythm, but the voices don't really sound convincing. And why do people think it sounds cool to have this horrible beeping triangle-like chime? Otherwise, though very syrupy, it is bearble. **
Shepherd Moons: This interpretation is not only much too fast, the added "cool" sound effects give it a lovely "Jingle-Bells" taste... wheuuuurgh! 0 stars
Lothlórien: This is a rather special interpretation of this lovely song. I find it slightly too dramatic and fast, but in the all, it's a nice alternative to the original. ****
Tea House Moon: All right, this song is not really excellent anyway, as it sounds experimental even in its original version. But this MIDI just sounds like a BGM for a 8 bit Nintendo game. And some parts are out of tune. The attempts to make harmonies were clever, but useless, as they are totally off key. Gruesome. 0 stars.
