  Dean of Ayr Guildry Doug Bridson presents the charter to Provost of South Ayrshire Council Gordon McKenzie .

 A replica of 'The Charter of the Royal Burgh of Ayr signed at Lanark Castle on Saturday 21st May 2005 by the Lord Lieutenant of Lanark,
and brought on horseback to Ayr on Sunday 22nd May 2005
.
