MINIMUM RECOMMENDED TANK SIZE:
   Do not place in tanks smaller than 125 gallons unless juveniles, and then only for a short time as they grow quickly.

BREEDING:
   Egg-layers

FEEDING:
   Mainly  Flake, Pellets, Brine Shrimp & Frozen Blood Worms.

NOTE:
   They do best when in pairs or more, They grow VERY large so do not be fooled by the small size you may see them at in the fish Stores.

LIGHTING:
   Bright, but not direct sunlight.

TEMPERAMENT:
   Peaceful, If in tanks with fish his own size. May devour smaller inhabitants, but has been know to get along well with many smaller fish, depends on each individuals disposition.


COMMENTS:
   Tanks should be minimum of 125 gallons for this species. They also require a higher pH and temp. range than most freshwater tropical fish.

   The Black Shark will grow extremely large as you can tell by the photos on the right (2 feet in length is not uncommon). The Black Shark loves to have driftwood and plants to swim around and through. A nice hiding place is essential for this species if in an aquarium with bright lighting.

   These guys are definitely NOT for the beginner!
