| There is also another species known as "Lesser Bleeding Heart Tetra (Hyphessobryn socolofi) pretty much the same as its bigger cousin, prefers a little higher pH range of 7.0, other than size very hard to distinguish these two from each other. |

| Peaceful, very good community fish. Best kept in schools of 8 or more. |
| Very commonly found in Pet shops everywhere, can grow up to 3" in overall size with the proper diet and a big enough tank. Easy to breed with the addition of a breeding tank. They do love to swim in and around plantings as well as floating plants. |
