COMMENTS:
A very unique fish, but not for everyone. You must have a tank designed around the flounder if you want to keep one or more. You must make sure you do NOT use a under gravel filter system, a canister works much better. Also you will need a sandy bottom substrate instead of gravel. One problem that all inexperienced keeps of Flounders/Sole have is not starving them to death. Unless you are feeding them small feeder fish, it is very tough to get them trained to eat fresh or frozen chunks of food off the bottom of the tank.

These fish also enjoy brackish conditions, that means lots of salt in the water, not a lot of tank mates enjoy this fishes enthusiasm for salty water.
