These fish are probably the most common fish to die on new aquarium hobbyists. The store and/or their untrained personnel is usually the culprit. Very few consumers are warned that these fish need an extremely high pH ( 8.0 ), high temperature ( 80-86 ) and high saline/salt ( brackish conditions ) content for them to thrive. |

If you really want to keep these fish ( and they are great fish to look at and easy to breed ) Please, Please keep them in a tank by themselves or with other brackish fish. If you don't you are just asking for troubles, heartbreaks and expenses. |
