MINIMUM RECOMMENDED TANK SIZE:
   Do not place in tanks smaller than 35 gallons, 55+ gallons is preferred.

BREEDING:
   Egg-layers

FEEDING:
   Mainly Algae,Vegetables,Flake,Tablets.

NOTE:
   Can grow to immense size with time and space. Loves rockeries.

LIGHTING:
   The darker the better

TEMPERAMENT:
   Peaceful, very good community fish. Loves rocks and vegetation.

COMMENTS:
   A great fish for any size aquarium over 40 gallons. Helpful in removing algae and excess foods from the tank. Not an active swimmer, in fact sometimes mistaken for a rock in the tank. People love to watch the large mouth suction itself along glass walls of their tank.

   As you can  see by the pictures on your left, Plecos can often be found in a wide variety of shapes and coloration's. I really like the zebra variety, although granted they are relatively expensive and really don't do much against algae.
