| These guys can get big, mine right now is about 6 1/2" in length and 4" in body girth alone. The love to hide in tight spots so be carefull with decorations. I have found that rockeries with larger openings work best to get these guys comfortable enough to come out in the open once in a while. |
| The talking comes from them rubbing/grating what we would equate to the shoulder within its socket. Usually heard when hungry or out of water, very unusual sound. |
