COMMENTS:
Nice fish, a wide variety of colors if you can get it to live. Many aquariums around the world report that this little guy just likes to die. Many times it is within 24 hours of being introduced to your tank. But more often it is about a month or two down the line, everything is going great and these little fish just go belly-up. Parasites within the intestinal tract and stomach seem to be the culprit. The "German Ram" who is smaller seems to live a bit longer, the average life span of this fish is no more than 3 years.

It is a member of the Cichlid family, but without the aggressiveness of its family members. Love to zoom in and around vegetation. Make sure you know what you are doing before deciding on this fish to add to your aquarium.

   Definitely not for the beginner!
