The top Picture is the PRESTON BOND home.
Bond Ms was named after PRESS BOND, as he was 1st to build a home in the very Rural Area around 1870. The Home was located close to the old waggon trail called,"3 Notch Road" that ran from Mobile Alabama to Natchez MS. A Part of this old trail is still called "Three Notch Raod" on the West Side of Mobile Alabama for about 10-15 Miles. Then the part of the Road west of the Pascagoula River was renamed, "King B Road" when this Area became part of the State of Mississippi, then a section of the old Wagon Trail was renamed "The Big Road" then Hy.15 and now is Hy. 49. at the PRESTON BOND home.
When PRESS BOND built there the Road was called Hy.15,and was still just a Wagon Trail. The House has been restored and is still in good shape.

This Sawmill was built around 1899 about 3/8 mile South of the PRESTON BOND home at present day Bond MS. this Picture was took around 1917.
