Chapter 9: Eyes On You
Well I finally got something to eat - a small Caesar
chicken salad, and a diet Coke, Justin got his usual pasta, and
guess who I saw walk in that door the very next minute?
Julie.....
"Justin, I'll be right back." I said getting up. He grabbed my hand.
"Don't be too long," he said smiling.
I rolled my eyes, and went over to see my best friend.
"Jules, what are you doing here?" I asked her.
"I was about to ask you the same question!" Julie replied.
"I was just getting some breakfast with Justin, at a place where we thought was private, as you can see we guessed wrong," I said survey the swarms of crowds around my ex-boyfriend.
"So, why aren't you with Brian?" Julie asked.
"Well, after Brian left to go and do whatever with Leighanne, Justin invited me out shopping. Besides if Brian wants to run awayfrom me, then that's his problem. I can never talk to him, he's always with Leighanne." I complained.
"Oh no... somebody's not happy." Justin said getting up and walking towards me. I pouted.
"No, I'm not." I replied.
"Well, what's one way we can cheer you up?" He asked me, wrapping both his arms around my waist.
"Well, we could go bungee jumping.. for old times sake." I replied looking up at those crystal clear baby blue eyes.
"Yeah, I would love that." Justin said.
"Ok, listen up, everybody. I gotta get going..." Justin said shouting over to commotion he had started.
"No!" were the cries he got in return.
"I'm sorry ya'll. I hope to see you at the next concert... but right now, time awaits!" Justin said.
"Will she be there?" one girl said snaring at me. I was taken back.
"Yeah, Ashley's gonna be there! Why?" He asked.
"Justin, we better go.." I said.
"No, you can't take him away from me! You B*tch" one girl said running towards me.
Before I knew what was happening, she threw my Caesar salad, and her coke, on me. My mouth was just hanging open.
"You guys, if you want to be around me, you should know always to treat anyone I'm with with respect." Justin replied. I said my good-byes to Julie and Justin and I walked (rather ran) out the door, and into his car, my puppy in my hands.
"My shirt!" I replied.
"I know, I loved that color on you." Justin said eyeing the sea of mess, that was on my beautifully baby blue shirt.
"Yeah, is it because it's your fav color?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said.
"Do you have something for me to wear over my shirt?" I asked Justin hopefully.
"Here you can wear my shirt," Justin said unbuttoning his baby blue T-shirt, to reveal a white wifebeater underneath.
"Thanks," I said removing my shirt, which Curly had a field day with (a dog owner would understand), and putting on his.
"Wow.." is all Justin could say staring at me button up the shirt.
"Justin.." I warned.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Justin said.
"Keep your eyes on the highway..." I reminded him.
"That's gonna be kinda hard considering the circumstances.." Justin replied.
"How is that?" I asked.
"Well, for the fact that I can't keep my eyes off you." Justin replied looking at me.

"Nate, I'm glad you could come!" Julie said sitting down.
"I told you I would be there." he said holding her hand.
"yeah, I know.." Julie said getting comfortable.
"Hi, may I take your order?" a waitress asked.
"Yeah, I'll have a soup and salad." Julie replied.
"I'll have the same.." Nate said.
"I missed you Jules," Nate said. Julie winced at the name, that Nick had called her.
"I missed you too," Julie said happily.
"So, is this Nick guy out of the picture?" Nate asked seriously..
Julie looked up, and there was AJ and Amanda staring right back at her.
"Oh no!" Julie replied.
