Chapter 15: I want you back
I was doing my homework with Erica when the telephone
rang..thinking it was Justin I answered "Hey sweetie."
"Hey Ashley...... It's Nick" he said. I almost forgot how sexy he had sounded...the way he smiled and his eyes lit up.. oh no I thought these feelings for him were gone.. I guess I was wrong.. right when me and Justin were finally in a happy relationship with no problems. Okay well maybe one.... JC....man!
"Hello? Hello? Ashley you there?" Nick said.
"Yeah, I'm there.." I said.
"Look, Ashley, I'm not sure if anyone told you but I broke up with Mandy a few weeks ago." he said.
"Well what does that have to do with me Nick?" I asked.
Erica jumped up and got near the phone and strained to hear our conversation..
"Well, Ashley the other girl I told Mandy about was sweet, nice, hot, loving.." he said.
"Well Nick what does that have to do with me?" I asked getting mad now.. If he wanted to tell me about his new love interest, fine but he didn't have to rub it in by making it sound like I was the worst girlfriend he had.
"Ashley you don't understand..The 'other girl' is you.." he said.
I nearly dropped the phone. Nick still had feelings for me?? I was very shocked.
"Well, where are you? Are you in town?" I asked him.
"Yes I have been here for awhile.." he said.
"Oh so you waited to tell
me how you felt? You decided you had feelings for me when you
wanted to have them? Well Nick, I'm not your trophy girlfriend
you can't just leave without telling me and then expect me to
come back to you! It doesn't work
that way!" I said and hung up the phone I was so pissed.
The phone rang again and I knew it was Nick so I let the machine get it.
"Ashley, look I have loved you ever since I saw you, you're the one I want to be with and if you like Justin then I wish you well I want you to be happy.. but I want you to know I will still love you and I'll wait until you feel the same.. but if you don't want a relationship with me then please can you just be my friend?" He asked and waited for me to pick up.
"Ashley please??" he begged.
"Yes, Nick I'll be your friend.." I said.
"Yes..!! Thank you if I can't have you for a girlfriend I am so happy I can have you as a friend. Can I come over??" he asked.
Erica raised her eyebrows. "It's not like anything is going to happen," I said to her..
"Yeah sure come on over!" I said to him.
He like yelled, happily, into the phone for about 5 minutes and said he would be there in 5 minutes.
