Chapter 38: I Want It That Way
2:47, the alarm clock read. I blinked a couple of times to
see where I was.
"Brian?" I called out.
"Yeah?" he said running into the room.
"How long have I been here?" I asked sleepily.
"Well, since 12:40 of yesterday.. you went in and out of sleep and I just didn't have to heart to wake you. You looked so peaceful," he said sitting down on the bed.
"Did you tell my mom where I was?" I asked him.
"Yeah she knows," Brian said laughing.
"Oh no!" I said.
"Is that what you go to bed in?" I asked Brian jokingly. I looked at his tank top and boxers with distaste.
"What's wrong with this?" he asked.
"Well, the first thing you do is to pick solid colors that match.." I said wrinkling my nose.
"Oh okay, and wearing a skirt and shirt is what you go to bed in?" Brian asked eyeing my outfit.
"Come on, I have an excuse, I left school in this outfit. And at least it matches!" I said laughing.
"Oh really?" he asked. But before we could finish our conversation I heard the doorbell ring.
"Hold on okay?" he said.
"Brian, I'm gonna take a shower k?" I yelled to him but I don't think he heard.
"Hey, Nick! How you doing?" Brian said inviting Nick inside.
"BRIAN?? WHERE DO YOU KEEP THE TOWELS?" I yelled over the shower.
No response. I put on one of Brian's jersey's and went to go find him.
"Brian, where do you keep the towels?" I asked then I saw Nick.
"Oh, hi Nick" I said blushing a bit.
"Hey," he said looking at the floor. But I could tell his face was red.
"Top shelf in the linen closet!" he said eyeing me.
"And where would that be?" I said.
"Geez, Ashley you should know where the linen closet is!" He said getting up.
"Well, it's your house." I pointed out walking behind him.
After Brian showed me where the towels where, I went to take my shower.
"Ashley's been here the entire day of yesterday and today?" Nick asked incredulously.
"Yeah, well I couldn't wake her." Brian said.
"Couldn't or you didn't want to?" Nick said angrily.
"Does it matter either way?" Brian shot back.
"You know I've always liked her," he said.
"And you and I both know you have got a girlfriend.." Brian said.
"Yeah, I forgot..I'm sorry man!" he said.
"Forgiven!" he said.
"Doesn't Ashley look sexy wet?" Nick asked.
"Do you want a response that you'll like? or the Honest truth?" Brian asked.
"The Honest Truth." Nick replied.
"She looks damn fine!" Brian said laughing.
After Nick left..I had found something to wear. I put on Brian's jeans and his shirt.
"What Do you Think?" I asked him stepping out of the bathroom to reveal my or rather his outfit.
"Real nice, you've got great taste!" Brian said laughing. I checked my watch.
"Brian I gotta go, okay? I'll return the clothes okay?" I said getting up.
"Ashley wait.." Brian said.
"Yes," I said turning around. And then the next thing I knew Brian had kissed me. What do you think I did?? Well, I paused shocked.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"Why, there's nothing to be sorry about.." I said I pulled him close and I kissed him with all the passion I had.
