Chapter 39: Don't Want You Back
"Melissa, you know I love you," Justin said into the
phone. Their bus was almost to their destination.
"Yeah I know that baby, but right now I don't want to be so attached to you, I want some time by myself.." she said gently.
"What?" Justin said.
"I'm sorry," she said and hung up.
"What the hell?" he said. "I leave FL for one day already this girl, just wants us to be friends." he said.
"I could think of a person who feels the same way you do.." Lance said.
"Who could possibly understand Lansten?" Justin asked.
"Ashley" he said.
"Ashley, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.." he said. "I do regret what I did to her, I still miss her!! It's like a part of me was missing and I needed someone to fill it." he said sighing.
"Then why did you break up with her?" Joey asked.
"I thought she didn't want to be with me.. I mean I thought she liked Nick!" he said. "But I swear guys, I'm gonna get her back."
"All right man" Lance said.

Brian and I broke apart.. and I looked into his eyes.
"Wow, that was surprising" I said.
"Yeah, but worth it" he said giving me another small kiss.
"I really should get going," I said. But I couldn't bring myself to leave.
"You don't know how long I've waited to do that," Brian said sitting down.
"You wanted to kiss me?" I asked.
"More than you know." Brian said laughing. I sat down on his lap.
"Well here's your chance, take it or leave it." I said looking into those crystal blue eyes.
"I'll gladly take it." he said kissing me again. We kissed again.
About an hour later, I decided I really had to go. It was 3:40.
"Brian, sweetie, I really have to go!" I said.
"No I won't let you!" he said wrapping his arms around me.
"Brian, you're not making this easier." I said laughing.
"Call me, okay.. heck or even drop by.." I said getting up.
"You know, I'll do both." he said getting up. I walked to the door.
"Bye Brian" I said giving him one more kiss.
"Bye Ashley," he said
and closed the door.
I walked outside and who should I see but the sweet Mr. Mclean.
"Hey AJ," I called out to him. He was walking his two adorable puppies Panda and Bear.
"Hey Ash," he said.
"So, what were you and Brian doing?" he asked smiling.
"You would love to know," I said walking to my car.
"Yes I would.. so what happened?" he asked. But before I could answer, Brian came out shirtless... Hmm I wonder how that happened? Ha.
"Ashley, you forgot your shirt" he said.
"Thanks, baby," I said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Bone," he said before entering the house.
"So is that what I think it is?" AJ asked.
"Yeah, me and Bri are together.." I said smiling.
"And you know another thing Mr. Mclean?" I said walking up to him.
"What?" he said smiling.
"You look much better without your sunglasses," I said I whipped them off and put them on my eyes.
"See ya!" I said laughing.
"You're a wild child.." he said as he watched me drive off.

So How is the 'Get Ashley Back' campaign going?" Joey asked.
"Not good, I am not able to locate her anywhere.." Justin said frustrated.
"Yeah, well, she's probably still crying about the breakup." Joey offered.
"Yeah right" Justin said sarcastically.

I drove home, and after hearing an entire speech from my mom, and getting homework from the 2 days I had missed class, then I went to my room.
"Erica?" I said calling up my friend.
"Hey girl!!" she said.
"Great news..." I said.
"What?" she said nearly screaming into the phone.
"Me and Bri are a couple!" I said.
"It's about time, you went on and on about that guy.. I knew it would happen. So what about Justin?" she asked.
Justin.. I hadn't heard that name in awhile.
"Well, I think Brian may be the one girl.. as far as Justin goes..he may have been just a fling." I said.
"May?" Erica said.
"Well, I don't know for sure..about Justin. But I really do like Brian.. it was a feeling I didn't have when I was with Justin.. but it doesn't mean I can't have it. Look what you have caused." I said laughing.
"So you're not all the way over him? I mean it's only been a day and a half!" she said.
"Well, no but Brian's special.. he really is.. as for Justin we'll just see how that goes." I said.
"Okay girl.. we'll good luck. And wish me luck Freddo we've got a date tonight."

"So, Brok I hear you finally hooked up with Ashley." Kevin said.
All the guys were already planning their '"Into Millennium tour" And were taking a little break to chat.
"Yeah, well! It sort of happened!" Brian said smiling.
"Congratulations Cousin." Kevin said giving Brian a slap on the hand.
"Hey Nick," Kev said greeting him as he walked in with Julie.
"Hey Nicky, congratulate Bri.. he's found a girl!" Howie said sitting down in the conference room.
"Really?" Nick said. "Whose the girl?" Nick said.
"It's the same girl, he's been with the entire couple of weeks!" Howie said.
"Ashley?" Nick said sitting down. His eyes saddened a little bit and that sparkle he had in his eye was gone.
"You okay man?" Kevin said.
"Yeah, I'm fine! Come on Jules" Nick said getting up and leaving the room.
Right as he was about to leave, I entered the room. I saw Nick with his new girlfriend and found it in my best interest not to say anything. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.
"Hey sweetie," I said to Brian taking a seat in his lap.
"Hey!" he said smiling and giving me a small kiss. I turned around to face the rest of the guys.
"Hey y'all" I said.
"Wow, Ashley, you almost sounded like a Kentucky native." Brian said. I smiled. We kind of just sat there talking and kissing.
"Hello? We're still here guys! Come back to earth Brian, we've still got work to do!" Kevin said laughing.
"Yea, right.. I knew that!" he said.
"So, what's next on our agenda here? Nick sit down man, We have got work to do!" He said trying to pull up a chair for Nick, but it was kinda hard with me still on his lap. So I pulled it up for him.
I eventually had to get up...and me and Julie got some cokes. That was the time, I actually got to talk about the guys with Nick's new girlfriend.
"Hi, I'm Ashley," I said smiling.. and handing her a coke.
"Julie," she said smiling back.
"So, where did you and Nick meet?" I asked her.
"Well, we just met at a
beach one day. He was walking by himself and he saw me and walked
over.. we got a conversation
started and so far we have been dating for about a few weeks
now," she said looking at him and sighing.
"So, what is the connection with you and Nick?" she asked looking at him staring at her and I.
"Well, we dated at one point.. but it was cut short when I found out he and a girlfriend named Mandy.. who went to the same school I did, and he didn't tell me about it." I said.
"So, you broke it off with him?" she asked curiously.
"Yeah, I did... he was a bit upset when me and Brian hooked up.
"Do you still love him" Julie asked expectantly.
"I will always love Nick, but it will be as a friend," I said to her smiling.
"You've got nothing to worry about!" I said.
"How long have you and Brian been dating?" she asked me.
"What is this 20
questions?" I asked but I smiled and gave her my answer.
"Well, to tell you the truth, I've always had a little
feeling for him, ever since I doubled with him, Nick and my
friend Erica. But until recently I realized my feelings for
him."
I said looking at my Brian laugh.
"I haven't realized it until now, but all that time spent with him, I had a huge crush on him!" I exclaimed.
"I knew it!!" Julie said laughing.
"Did you think he liked me?" I asked.
"Duh, girl....he liked you! He let you sleep on his waterbed! That must show he likes you!" she said.
"Yeah, I guess so!!" I said.
