Chapter 1
"Guess what?" the BSB's manager ran in.
Brian and Nick stared intently at the screen where they played Nintendo. Kevin and Howie turned off the TV and AJ stopped dialing on his cell.
"What?"
"I found a new group to tour the US with you."
Nick turned off the Nintendo. "Who?"
"A group of 5 girls I manage called Magic."
AJ's head whipped around. "Girls!?"
"Yes AJ, but don't scare them."
"Fine."
The guys went back to what they were doing.
~*~Carrissa's POV~*~
"Happy birthday dear Leah, happy birthday to
you," Callie, Yvonne, Natalie, and I sang to Leah.
"Thanks guys," Leah gushed.
Natalie picked up a big box and put it in front of Leah.
Leah smiled. "Is it my potion book?"
"Open it and find out."
Leah ripped off the wrapping paper and pulled out her first potion book, a part of the Lovan (a type of good witch) lifestyle. When they turn 16 they are removed from their families and placed under a guide. When they are 18 they recieve their first potion book and when 19 they recieve an actual spellbook, at age 20 they start training to become a guide, and at 21 they are assigned their first pupils.
Leah, Yvonne, and I are Natalie's pupils while Callie is a guide in training. Each Lovan is given a specific talent when they are born. Leah, Callie, Yvonne, Natalie, and I were given the gift of song and were given permission to start a group together as long as we continued our studies and kept our "witchery" a secret.
"Guess what!" Callie told us when Leah finished with her presents.
We looked at her. "WHAT?"
"We get to tour with the Backstreet Boys for 6 months! We leave in 4 days!"
We started screaming and celebrating.
Natalie interrupted them. "Remember, Yvonne, Carrissa you have to finish your last 6 lessons. You will have 1 month to complete each. Leah you will work with potions so you're fine. Carrissa, no tricks on them. You know the rules."
I sighed. "I know."
Yvonne smiled at me. "Yeah but with Carrissa you know she'll cause trouble just by working on her spell assignments."
I stuck out my tongue at her. "I'm not that bad and you know it."
"Really, well what about the time you caused all the food in that restaurant to float around."
"OK, so I have trouble sometimes."
"Sometimes."
"SHUT UP!" Natalie glared at us. "Calm down! Look, we're about to live out our dream so quit arguing and let's celebrate!"
"YEAH!!!!!"
