Chapter 8
The next day I jumped out of bed
at the same time as Yvonne.
"Morning," I greeted her.
"Morning Carr. Ready to meet the elusive N'SYNC."
"Maybe, but if they bug me they're doomed."
"I'm not worried, don't you recognize JC?"
"Nope, doesn't look familiar."
"He was at Leah's ceremony. He's a Lovan. They'll be prepared."
I smiled and grabbed some jeans and a sweater out of my drawer.
After I had showered I met AJ in the kitchen for breakfast.
"Morning," he said and gave me a kiss.
In the background Brian and Yvonne gagged. I threw some of AJ's cereal at them.
"Hey," they cried.
"Well then be quiet. besides you and Brian do the same."
They stuck their tongues out. Suddenly their was a knock at the door.
"Must be N'SYNC," Kevin guessed and answered the door. "Hey come on in. This is Yvonne, Carrissa, Leah, Natalie, and ?. And they're Justin, JC, Chris, Joey, and Lance."
"Hey," we greeted each other. JC stood back though, studying us.
"I've seen you before," he gasped.
We grinned at each other. Natalie pointed to the rest of N'SYNC.
"Do they know?"
"Yeah."
"OK." Natalie pointed to a nearby pitcher of milk and floated it through the air.
Justin's jaw dropped. "You're...you're..."
"Lovans," ? provided.
"Yeah."
"Well we thought we'd warn you. We've already turned AJ and Brian into goats and shrunk Howie and Nick. We seem to have a habit of doing that to people."
Everyone laughed. We sat down to get to know each other when their was another knock at the door. This time I answered it.
"Hello.. not you." It was the guy I saw at the store.
He pushed past me and into the main room. "You didn't do as I say."
"Well we didn't want to," I retorted.
He glared at me. "You and AJ, Brian and Yvonne, and Nick and Leah are official couples. I am not pleased. And even worse JC the Center illegally after something Natalie told him. But I'll make you a deal. If you can correct a spell I make I'll leave you alone. If you can't, you'll have to all come back to the Center."
"Deal," Natalie whispered. The man grinned and looked at Chris, Joey, Justin and Lance. He muttered something under his breath and they started to become smaller. The next thing we knew they were children. He zapped up a clock.
"You have 1 hour." He disappeared.
"What do we do?" Yvonne groaned.
I took charge. "The guys watch the, um, children while we figure out what spell he cast.
" The guys picked up the babies while we sat down to think.

"What did that man do to them," Leah muttered.
"If we knew we wouldn't be in this boat now would we," Yvonne snapped.
"Calm down," JC said, "We have an hour."
30 minutes passed. Then another 15.
"We're almost out of time," Yvonne cried. Suddenly my mind thought back to a spell I'd seen recently.
"I've got it!" I yelled.
"What!"
I grabbed up my spell book and flipped through the pages. 10 minutes later I found it. I showed them.
"The de-aging spell," Yvonne whispered. "
Yup."
We ran out there and chanted:
Younger Older
I don't know
But I'll pick one and I pick ______.
We filled in the blank with each guys age.
"Thanks so much," Chris gushed.
The mystery man appeared. "you win," he said grimly, "You're free to date and JC may stay."
AJ gave me a kiss. Leah and Nick did a dance while Brian and Yvonne also kissed. We'd never been so happy in our lives.
