Chapter 4
"OK, we're here!!" Stacey pulled into the parking lot of the huge hotel and they both went inside.
While they waited for the elevator Nick somehow managed to gather up his strength and put his arm around her waist. Fortunately Stacey just smiled and got on the elevator. Together they rode up to the 31st floor and went into Brian's room where he was talking on the phone.
"Yeah mom...NO!!! I'm not having sex... I don't care what the papers say...I'm not cheating on Leigh-anne mom...No!!...Alright I love you too... bye mom."
Click. Biran hung up the phone and left the room with Nick and Stacey and went to everyone else's rooms. They decided on a new alcohol-free club and then maybe a ride around town afterwards. They split into 2 different cars, Stacey, Nick and Brian in Stacey's car and Howie, Kevin and AJ in another.
"Stacey this is a SWEET car." Brian said as they drove along the highway.
"Thanx. It was a birthday present from my grandparents. They have some nice taste I must say."
"So Stacey...What are you doing? I mean are you in school, or do you work...?" Nick looked at her as he watched her hair fly around from the now down roof (Brian whined until they put it down) and smiled to himself.
"Well, I go to school in the mornings, and on Thursday's and Friday's I coach the boys basketball team at the rec center, Tuesday's I teach Drama and Monday's, Wednesday's and some Saturday's I work at the GAP at Mic Mac Mall.(Mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) I do all that stuff in the afternoons." Stacey kept driving even though she could feel Brian and Nick staring at her.
"All that and you have a son?" Brian rested his elbows in between the two front seats.
"Yeah well It's hard but I want to keep Joshua and this is the only way to do it."
They got to the club and danced until 3 am. Stacey decided to go back to the hotel with them after Nick told her she was too tired to go home.
****At the hotel room****
Nick and Stacey rode the elevator up to Nick's floor and went into his room. Nick went straight to the bathroom and Stacey sat on the bed and flicked through the channels on the t.v.
When Nick came out he was wearing boxers and nothing else and blushed a little bit when Stacey smiled at him.
"I should call Theresa and tell her where I am." Stacey dialed the number and woke Theresa up.
"This better be damned important or else I'll beat you so hard you're gonna be fartin outta you're mouth and talkin outta your butt."
Stacey dared her to try it and then told her where she was and hung up.
"OK so where am I gonna sleep?" Stacey looked at Nick and he sat on the bed next to her.
"Well, I can sleep on the couch if you want the bed." Nick looked at her.
"Well, it's not like we're actually doing anything if we share the bed, it's fine with me if you wanna share."
"OK, I guess." Stacey agreed and took her pants off exposing her white and navy panties. They both got in bed and watched t.v. for another half hour.
Then Stacey did something she couldn't believe she did. She kissed Nick. At first he was a little surprised but soon relaxed into it and deepend the kiss. They started to get really into it and Nick slid his hand up Stacey's thigh. Stacey then panicked and stopped his hand. He stopped kissing her and sat up.
"I'm sorry. I'm moving to fast I knew it if you want I'll sleep on the couc...."
Stacey silenced him and looked into his eyes. "Nick it wasn't you. I panicked. The last time I did "it" I got Joshua.Im so sorry but I can't do it tonight. And don't be so stupid you're sleeping in the stupid bed!!!!"
They talked a few more minutes and went to sleep.
