Chapter 4
Kevin was back in his room now. Brian hadn't returned yet, so the room was very quiet. There was a T.V., so Kevin figured he'd watch a little.
He looked around for a remote. He spotted it, but it was across the room on a little table. He couldn't just go across the room and get it because he was advised not to cause any unessessary movement.
Then he heard a knock at the door. He was hoping it was a pretty nurse that had come to make him feel more comfortable. He was rather disappointed when it was only A.J., Nick, and Howie. He was happy that there was some one to talk to though.
"Sorry, I know you told us to go back to the hotel and sleep, but none of us could sleep very well knowing you were here, in a hospital by yourself," A.J. said guiltfully.
"Hey, it's alright. I was starting to get bored in here anyway. I couldn't even watch the T.V. because they placed it all the way across the room, and then they told me that I wasn't supposed to move. What are they trying to do, torture me?" Kevin said.
"Couldn't Brian have gotten it for you?" Nick asked in confusion.
"I haven't seen him since right before I went in to get my x-rays. He said he went to the cafeteria to get something to eat." Kevin replied.
"We stopped in there to see Donna and Johnny and we bumped into him. That was about 15 minutes ago," Nick said looking at his watch. "He should have been back by now. I wonder where he is."
"Oh, he probably just stopped to flirt with a nurse," A.J. joked.
Then, all of a sudden, there was a big, room shaking boom and a bright flash of lightning. Then the lights went out.
