Chapter 6
Nick and Howie were walking down the hall. They started talking.
"Hey, Howie, I got a joke for you. O.K. here goes.A teacher says, 'Can you give me an example of wasted energy?' A student replies, 'Yes, telling a hair-raising story to a bald-headed man!'"
They both chuckled for a few minutes. Then they heard an ear peircing scream from down the hall. They both ran down there to see what happened.
It turns out that a nurse had opened a door to get some supplies, and someone fell out of the closet. Now he was just laying there on the floor, face in the floor. A doctor rushed over and flipped the guy over and checked for a pulse. There was one.
Then Nick and Howie both realized at the same time who it was. It was A.J.!
"Omigod! It's A.J.!" Nick yelled.
"Is he alright? What happened? Is he going to be alright? Is he still alive?" Howie said, suddenly going into a panic.
"Some one get a stretcher over here! We need to get this guy some help, NOW!" the doctor was yelling.
A nurse walked over to Howie and Nick and said, "You guys know him right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I need to ask you a few questions. First, what's his name and is he allergic to anything?" the nurse asked.
"His name is A.J. McLean and he's not allergic to anything as far as I know." Howie said.
"Hey, I'm going to go inform the others about what happened. O.K.?" Nick asked.
"Others?" the nurse asked.
"Yeah, we're in room 223. Kevin Richardson is in there. He's the one that got struck by lightning. Well gotta go, see ya." Nick said.
He ran down the hall into Kev's room while Howie ran the other way toward A.J., neither way was going to bring good news.
