Part 2
The party was for the Make a Wish foundation, which Matt
really liked. It had a Christmas theme considering the holiday
was coming up, and everyone seemed cheerful.
I continued to stand there in shock at the man in front of me. I knew it was him, in fact he hadn't changed much at all. He didn't notice me standing there gawking at him until Matt pulled me to a table where some of his colleagues were sitting.
"See guys, I told you she'd love this, I had to pull her away from the presenter's table"Matt said whole heartingly. I forced a smile again and sat down.
They stated talking about the foundations attributes but my mind drifted back in time to the most difficult breakup I had to endure.
It was a surprise visit. He wasn't supposed to see me. It had been one of the bad weeks where everything I did, there was some teenage girl ridiculing me, I was even hit enough times to receive a black eye.
I also missed my baby. Insomnia had struck for the last couple of days so appearance was not normal. I was laying on his bed crying with 'Show me the meaning of being Lonely' on repeat on his CD player. It was off his group's new album Millennium.
I received another call from a fan who called me a Bitch. I hung up the phone and began pounding the pillows and screaming. In the middle of that was when he entered. He walked up to the bed in shock as I collapsed crying still unaware of his presence.
"Baby-Pie, you okay?" he asked, his voice full of concern. I looked at him feeling ashamed and unworthy to be there.
"What happened?"He asked noticing my ravish appearance. He knelt down and took my hands.
"I can't take it anymore" I whispered.
"Can't take what anymore? What are you talking about?" he asked knowing the answers to his questions. His beautiful eyes began to tear also.
"I'm so sorry baby-pie" he said.
