Aunt Jessie Comes For a Visit

Aunt Jessie came too visit one warm Sunday Afternoon
They visited on the front porch where there was more room

They talked of things in the present and memories of the past
"Who would like a drink of water", little Tommy asked

Aunt Jessie took the dipper and put it to her lip
"Thank you darling for offering poor Aunt Jessie a sip"

"T aren't nothing, the cats couldn't drink it all", she heard him say
"If you hadn't drank it I'd just threw it away "
