My Family Poems

"Lois stuck in the churn"

Why one would sit on a churn I know you don't care
Lois sat on the churn just because it was there

No sooner had she plopped ,she knew she was in trouble
All her thoughts of resting burst like a bubble

Lois's tussah Quickly sank to the bottom with a sucking swish
With her legs sticking out under her chin, she made a wish

" I wish some one would come and set me free"
"Why do things like this always happen to me"

She was stuck all good and proper

She started to cry and no one could stop her

To be sat free she had to live with this token
There was no way out the churn had to be broken

The moral of the story is look where you sat
If there had been milk in the churn her bottom would of gotten wet!

This is a story my Grandma told me about my mom
(I wonder if granddad got mad about having to break the churn)
