Will of Sarah Finer ( 1789-1874)
This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Finer of Great Bentley in the County of Essex Spinster First I desire that all my just debts funeral expenses and the charges of proving and executing this my Will be paid I nominate and appoint Mr. John Woodgate of Little Bentley in the County of Essex Gentleman sole Executor of this my Will I give to my half brother Frederick Finer and to my half sister Clarissa Finer the sum of fifty pounds each of good and lawful money of Great Britain to their sole use and benefit free of legacy duty I also give to Susannah Woodward the wife of William Woodward of the parish of Little Bentley in the County of Essex the sum of ten pounds free of legacy duty I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my said monies personal estate and effects whatsoever unto and between all my Nephews and Nieces to be divided between them part and share alike And I direct that my said Executor his executors or administrators shall not be answerable or accountable for any more money than he shall actually receive or shall come to his hands and that he or they shall be at liberty to deduct and retain to himself or themselves all his or their lawful costs charges and expenses incurred herein And I revoke all former Wills In Witness wherof I the said Sarah Finer the Testator hereto set my hand this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy four
Signed made acknowledged published and declared by the said Sarah Finer the Testator as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other hereto subscribe our names as Witnesses
