Will of Thomas Owen Finer ( 1835-1922)
THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me THOMAS OWEN FINER of 4 Windsor Road Forest Gate in the County of Essex Gentleman I revoke all former wills I appoint my daughter Edith Owen Finer and George Edmund Waller of 75 Colman Street in the City of London Solicitor EXECUTORS and trustees hereof I give all my furniture pictures books plate and plated goods and all articles and effects of household or domestic or personal use or ornament to my wife Mary Ann Finer absolutely And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my property estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same to the said Edith Owen Finer and George Edmund Waller their heirs executors and administrators Upon trust that they or the survivor of them or other the trustee or trustees for the time being of this my will( hereinafter called "my trustees" ) shall sell call in and convert the same into money with power nevertheless to postpone such sale and conversion so long as they in their absolute discretion shall think fit and subject to payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses my trustees shall stand possessed thereof Upon trust as to two thirds parts thereof for my wife the said Mary Ann Finer but if she shall predecease me then Upon trust as to such two thirds parts thereof for my daughter Edith Owen Finer absolutely As to the remaining one third part of my residuary estate my trustees shall hold the same Upon trust for my said daughter Edith Owen Finer absolutely but if she shall predecease me then Upon trust as to such one third part thereof for my wife Mary Ann Finer absolutely I declare that my executors and trustees shall not be bound to act personally but shall be at liberty to employ a solicitor or accountant or any other agent to transact all or any business of whatever nature required to be done in the premises (including the receipt and payment of money) and shall be entitled to be allowed and paid all charges and expenses so incurred And further that any executor or trustee for the time being of this my will (including the said George Edmund Waller) being a solicitor accountant or other person engaged in any profession or business shall be entitled to charge and be paid all usual professional or other charges for business done by him or his firm in relation to the execution of the trusts hereof whether in the ordinary course of his profession or business or not and although not of a nature requiring the employment of a solicitor or accountant or other professional person AS WITNESS my hand this first day of May one thousand nine hundred and fourteen THOS OWEN FINER Signed and declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses ALEXr.
