![]() Let me first say, on Webtv, the font face tag does not do anything. Webtv only has the one font face and this can not be changed but it can be altered buy using tags such as bold <<>b<>>, italics <<>i<>>, underline <<>u<>>, typewriter <<>tt<>>. To use these all you need to do is place the one you want to use in front of the word and end it in <<>/b<>> or which ever one you use. You can use them by their selves of together. However, there is a way for WebTV user's to get some of that special look. By using a Font Generator you can create an image of the special font that you would like to use just like I did in the title of this page. If you have a Tripod account you can use the Gif Works Generator and upload the font image straight to you Tripod account. In creating these images/gifs you can transload them to your server or save them to your scrapbook by using the transcribe located at Starblvd or any of the other tools that will allow the copy to your scrapbook such as The Transloader. Webtv users can still use this tag for the computer users who will be visiing your page. When the Font Face tag is used, specific fonts can be assigned to specific text on a html document. These fonts must be installed in your computer to view them. The three most common fonts are arial, helvetica, sans-serif. Using the font face tag is very easy. The tag is inserted as part of the <<>font<>>. <<>font face="arial" size="3" color="black"<>> You should put three common fonts after the font name you wish to display your text in. If the computer can not read your intended font, it will attempt to read the second font and so on. NOTE: Using Font Faces can be a nice added look to your web site without a lot of work. Just remember these fonts your're using must be installed within the computer viewing your page, so stick with the most common ones.
