Name: RB-CDS History: Designated Robot-Computer Destruction System, the RB-CDS was the cutting edge of technology in the mid-to-late 1980's. It was created by the Pentagon to invade hard drives and destroy them without physically doing damage to the computer system. The RB-CDS had initial success, infiltrating and disassembling foreign "illegal" hard drives by introducing viruses, destroying the computer language processors, and shorting circuits. In 1989, the RB-CDS's career started to slide downhill. Not only did the Pentagon declare it "outdated for all intents and purposes", it was having moral dilemmas destroying fellow computers for mankind. Finally, pressure forced RB-CDS to run from the Pentagon and flee to the countryside. Year Made: 1985 Weight: 763.3 lbs Height: 6 ft 8 in Power Plant: 1 nickel-cadmium battery bay in back (120V) Armaments: One multi-function utility tube and one CVIU (Computer Virusn Infiltration Utility) Special Notes: In early 1998, 1824 Techno found RB-CDS and several other robots laid off by the government chilling out in a small apartment. After a short discussion and a list of grievances, the robots' were enlisted into 1824 Techno's Robot Labor Union. The RB-CDS shamefully carried dozens of floppy disks on its body-each one represented a hard drive he destroyed. Present Day: At The Worst Show Ever, 1824 Techno played to a crowd of but a few loyal fans. Disgusted by the lack of participation from the rest of the crowd, which found 1824 Techno's message not worth standing up to hear, the loyal fans and the members of 1824 Techno charged the RB-CDS and destroyed him in a fit of frustration. Let us hope that his destruction shows us the violent-natured weakness of humanity and the undying compassion robots show for their creators. |
