How the nervous system works

Nerve cells are called neurons. A neuron is made up of dendrites, axons, and a nucleus. When something happens, dendrites are the ones who know that it happenes. The dendrite then sends the message onto the nucleus. The nucleus passes the message onto the axons and they send the message from one axon to the next until the message reaches your brain. The brain then sorts out the message, and sends a response back to the neurons. This entire complicated process takes only a fraction of a second. A very small fraction.
